Referral program

Account, Referral Program is where you redeem a code that reduces what Maelo charges you. If someone at Maelo has given you a code, or you picked one up at a convention or through another artist, this is the box you put it in.

It is a short panel, and that is honest rather than incomplete. Referring other artists is marked Coming Soon and does nothing yet. What works today is redemption.

Type the code into the field and tap Apply. Codes are not case sensitive, and the field puts them in capitals as you type, so you do not need to match how it was written on the card you were handed.

If it works you get a confirmation naming the benefit and the date it runs until. If it does not, Maelo tells you which of the reasons applies rather than a generic failure: the code is not valid, it has expired, it has hit its limit, you have redeemed it before, or you are already on another promotion.

Once a code is applied, the panel stops showing the entry field and shows the state instead. Active promo names the benefit you are on and Expires gives the date it ends. Nothing else changes in how you work.

• •Each code can be redeemed once per account.
• •You can only have one promotion running at a time, so a second code has to wait until the first one ends.
• •The benefit applies to Maelo's own fee. Card processing costs are Stripe's and are charged either way.

On the expiry date you go back to standard pricing on your own. There is nothing to cancel, nothing to renew and no charge that appears out of nowhere. The next booking after that date is priced normally.

You can check what you are actually being charged at any time in Payments, Platform Fees, which shows the current rate and how it is collected.

The Refer a friend row is visible in the panel and carries a Coming Soon badge. There is no personal referral link to share yet and no reward scheme running behind it, so if someone tells you they signed up because of you, there is currently nothing here that records it.

When it does arrive it will appear in this same panel. In the meantime, if you are sending people to Maelo and want that recognised, say so at support and we will sort it out by hand.
