Flash Manager

Flash Manager is where your drawings live. You upload a design, name it, decide how a client can claim it, and it appears in the gallery on your public page. Everything on this screen is one grid of tiles, and every tile is one design.

Across the top you get a search box for your designs, Edit Categories, Add Flash, and an ellipsis menu. Under that sits the category row, which doubles as the filter tabs your clients see. Drag a tile to reorder the grid. The order you set here is the order it appears in on your page.

Tap Add Flash to open the form. Drag your artwork onto the box at the top, or tap it to pick from your photos. You can select several files at once, and you can add up to six images to a single design.

Maelo asks you to crop each image as it comes in, one after another, so every tile in your grid is the same shape. The first image is the one clients see on the tile. The rest sit behind it, which is the place for the drawing on paper next to the same piece healed on skin.

   Hit Create. Nothing is saved until you do.

Title is the only required field, and it is what a client reads under the design. Description is optional and short, so use it for the thing an image cannot say: the size it is drawn for, or the placement you had in mind.

Tags are your own words for a piece. Type one and press Enter to add it, and you can add up to ten per design. Tags are searchable from the box at the top of Flash Manager, so they are the fastest way to find a drawing in a grid that has grown past a screenful.

The Locations row lets you tie a design to particular studios you have saved. Leave it alone and the design is offered everywhere you work. Pick one or more and the design only comes up for those places, which is what you want for a piece you can only tattoo at one shop. Locations themselves are managed in Settings, Locations.

Pricing lives behind the Instant Booking switch. Turn it on and the button at the bottom of the form changes to Next, which takes you to Pricing Tables.

A pricing table is a set of size options for one design. Each row has a Size label you write yourself, a Price, a Deposit, an Est. Time your client reads, and an Appt. Length in minutes that decides how much of your day the booking takes. Each table carries its own currency, so a design you tattoo in two countries can be priced honestly in both.

You can build more than one table and attach each to different studios or events, then duplicate a table rather than retyping it. If you would rather quote every piece yourself, leave Instant Booking off and price it in your reply instead.

Four switches sit at the bottom of the form, and between them they decide everything about how a design behaves.

• •Available is the on and off. On, the tile carries a green tick and clients can claim it. Off, the tile carries a crossed circle and your page marks it as gone.
• •Repeatable says you are happy to tattoo this one more than once. A repeatable design shows a Repeatable label on the tile.
• •Allow Enquiries lets a client ask about the design, and the enquiry lands in your Requests inbox for you to approve.
• •Instant Booking lets a client pick a size and book against your pricing table without waiting on you.

Categories are your own groupings: Fine line, Blackwork, Neo trad, whatever you call them. They run along the top of Flash Manager as tabs with a count beside each, starting with All. When there are more than fit the row, the rest tuck into +More.

Add one with the small plus at the end of the tab row, or open Edit Categories to rename and reorder the lot. A design does not need a category. Leave the field on Uncategorized and it still shows up under All.

Your designs reach clients through a flash gallery block on your public page. You choose which gallery style you want in your page editor, and they differ in more than looks: some show prices, some show a count of what is available, and each one words an unavailable design its own way, either sold out or claimed.

Everything flows straight through. Upload a design and it is on your page. Turn Available off and the tile stays put, marked as gone, so a sold piece keeps working as portfolio instead of disappearing. Tapping a design on your page opens the full size images, including the extra ones you uploaded.
