Payments
Deposit today.
Balance on the day.
Your client sees one total and two moments. They pay online to hold the date, and you collect the rest however you already get paid.

How it moves
Three places the money shows up.
Maelo takes 5% of the deposit and nothing else. Final payments, quick sales and Tap to Pay carry no Maelo cut at all, so the only fee in what a client pays across the whole job is the one on the deposit.
In the client hub
The deposit is credit, not a surcharge. It comes off the balance, and once it is paid the row says "Paid" instead of an amount.
On a quick sale link
For a walk-in or a piece of flash, send a link instead. You set the price, they can add a tip, and it is done before they leave.
In your payments list
Both cuts are listed separately on every charge, so you never need a Stripe dashboard to find out where the money went.
Every method
Take the money the way you already take it.
Card payments run through Stripe. The other nine are yours: cash, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, Interac e-Transfer, Wise, Revolut, a UK bank transfer and Bizum. Turn on the ones you use and they show up when you go to collect.
Star the two or three you actually reach for and they come first, so the method you use every day is never four taps down a list.
Tap to Pay turns the phone itself into the card reader. It lives in the Maelo app on Android, not in a browser.
