Adding aftercare
Aftercare information is the healing advice your clients get by email after their session, in your words rather than whatever they find on the internet at 2am. You write it once and every client gets the same thing.
It lives under Settings, Info/Policies, Aftercare Info. Click Add Aftercare Section and choose a template to start from: Intro, Washing, Moisturizing, Healing Process, Sun Protection, Swimming & Soaking, Clothing, Exercise or Warning Signs. Each one opens into the editor already filled with sensible wording, and you rewrite it to match how you actually work.
Want something the templates do not cover, like your own balm recommendation or your touch-up policy? Use + Create Custom Section at the bottom of the template list and name it yourself.

When clients get it
Your aftercare is attached to the Healing Check-in email, which sends automatically after a session. Out of the box that is 7 days after the appointment, and you can change the timing or add a second check-in on the client notifications timeline.
The email opens with the check-in message, then lists each of your aftercare sections with its title above it. Sections you have left blank are skipped, so an unfinished draft never reaches anyone.
Note
Seeing what sends
In the grey box at the top of the panel, click here to open a preview of the real email, built from your live sections and wearing your email branding.
Read it on a phone if you can. Aftercare is read one-handed, standing up, by somebody with cling film on their arm. Anything that needs pinch-and-zoom is not going to get followed.
Writing aftercare that gets read
- •One topic per section. Washing is a section. Washing plus swimming plus the gym is three.
- •Give numbers, not vibes. "Wash twice a day for two weeks" beats "keep it clean for a while".
- •Name the products you actually recommend, and say plainly what to avoid.
- •Always keep a warning-signs section, and say who to contact. Excessive redness, swelling, pus or a fever means a doctor, not a message thread.
Tip
Turning aftercare off
Aftercare starts Inactive, and stays that way until you switch it on. The switch beside the panel title moves it between Active and Inactive. Inactive means healing check-ins still send if you have them switched on, but they go without your aftercare sections attached. You can write and edit your sections while it is inactive, so nothing reaches a client before you are ready. Your writing is kept either way, so turning it back on restores everything.
Edits save on their own as you type, and there is no Save button to hunt for. A change you make today applies to every check-in that sends from now on.
