Booking policies and FAQ
Your rules and common questions, agreed to before a request reaches you.

What clients agree to
Booking policies are your rules in writing: deposits, rescheduling, cancellations, how you take payment. They sit on your booking form, and a client has to confirm they have read them before their request reaches you. That is the whole point. Anything you answer by message three times a week belongs here instead.
Ticking the agreement box does not agree on the spot. It opens your policies, and the I Agree button at the bottom only unlocks once the client has scrolled to the end. Short policies that fit on one screen count as read straight away.
You will find all of this under Settings, Info/Policies, FAQ / Booking Policies.

Writing your policy sections
Policies are grouped into sections, and each section is a short list of bullet points. You start with three: Rescheduling / Cancellations, Deposit Policies & Fees and Payment Types. Open Booking Policies, click a section to expand it, then use Add Item for each rule.
Keep one rule per bullet. "48 hours notice to reschedule, or the deposit is forfeited" is a bullet. A paragraph covering deposits, lateness and touch-ups is three. Clients skim, and short bullets survive skimming.
Need a section the starters do not cover, say touch-ups or guests in the studio? Use Add Policy Section at the bottom, name it, and fill it the same way. The bin icon on a section removes it and everything inside it.
The FAQ
The FAQ list sits just above your policies and answers the questions that are not really rules: how long a reply takes, whether you tattoo hands, what to bring, how touch-ups work. It shows on your public page and during booking, so it does the answering while you are tattooing.
Click Add Question, type the question, then write the answer in the editor below it. Answers take formatting, so you can bold a key detail or use a list. Click Done to collapse the card back to its saved view, and the pencil to reopen it.
Tip
The consent checkbox
Consent checkbox wording is the line a client reads next to the tick box on your booking form. Leave it blank and it reads "I have read and agree to the artist's booking policies."
To word it yourself, type your sentence and drop in the {policies} chip where you want the clickable link to sit. Tapping the chip inserts it at your cursor, so you never type the braces by hand. If you leave the token out, the link is added to the end anyway, so it can never go missing.
Note
Checking it reads well
In the grey box at the top of the panel, click [BOOKING POLICIES] to see exactly what a client sees: your questions and answers, then each policy section, then the agreement line with your wording. Empty sections and blank questions are skipped, so what you see is what sends.
Read it in one pass. If you get bored halfway, so will they, and a policy nobody reaches is a policy nobody agreed to.
Turning policies off
Policies start Inactive, and stay that way until you switch them on. The switch beside the panel title flips the whole thing between Active and Inactive. Inactive means no policies block, no agreement box and no FAQ on your booking form. You can write and edit everything while it is inactive, so a half-finished policy is never shown to a client. Your wording is kept either way, so switching back on restores everything as it was.
- •Changes save on their own as you type. There is no Save button.
- •Edits reach your live booking form within a second or two.
- •Clients who already agreed are unaffected. Their consent was recorded against the wording at the time.
